What are soffit and fascia

Soffit covers the underside of a roof overhang. Fascia is the trim along the outward-facing edge, where gutters are often attached. Some soffit panels also provide ventilation. These parts meet the roofing and gutter system, so their condition matters when planning a repair or installation.

Repairing damaged trim

Tell us about loose or missing panels, peeling paint, visible deterioration, staining, or gaps along the roof edge. Mention any nearby gutter leak or water running behind the gutter.
